Gender Mainstreaming in Projects: Case Studies from the Specific International Programme

by Minamata Convention on Mercury

This new publication presents an assessment of how projects funded by the Specific International Programme (SIP) under the Minamata Convention integrate considerations related to women and girls in their design and implementation. Developed in response to a COP-5 decision and supported by a contribution from Finland, the report features case studies from Argentina, Armenia and the Republic of Moldova, along with additional practical examples from other SIP projects, demonstrating how SIP-funded projects can meaningfully advance equality while addressing mercury-related risks.
